So we are looking for art/visual development apprentice candidates who are willing to relocate to Texas. I think they would ideally be a generalist-type artist who does stuff like character orthos/paint, prop design/paint, environments, etc. Its also a full-time thing so its probably not doable for students (usually apprenti are recent grads).
The apprentice is for the Day of the Dead project we are working on (which just got renamed “Book of Life” http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/guillermo-del-toro-fox-animation-401787 I can vouch for it being an awesome project :)
If ya’ll know anyone who is good and fits this description lemme know, we are tasked with seeking some potential peeps out :P
Edit: Unfortunately they have to be US residents! :( This stinks but those be the rules.
Edit: PM me, we are just making a list of names/folios to send to production :P
Edit: Company is ReelFX in Dallas, TX :P
Semi-finished character turnaround from yesterday. I got cheat-ey in…errr..some parts.
wip wip wip :D Wanted to try doing a turnaround of a basic “flat” style character so I made this girl up (and a variation of clothing)…working on the turnaround now.
Sneaky postin’s at 3 am.
Wow I’ve been terrible with posting/drawing anything lately (and when I do…its all these curly red head characters). But here’s a quick sketch/paint… :P I guess he’s…male…but sort of looks like girlish.
I wanna try to do a livestream one day but I have to figure out what I’d actually work on…
